YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy notice

Effective October 3, 2026

TieSpark is a professional networking service operated by Brandon Simpkins. This notice explains what we collect, who can see it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We process your account email and authentication information; the profile, skills, professional links, location, preferences, photo, optional phone number, and optional résumé you choose to provide; connection requests, messages, meeting proposals, reports, support requests, and site-improvement feedback. In-person meeting addresses are shared with their participants. We record basic activity times, notification preferences, and limited error and service-health information. Our hosting and authentication providers may process IP addresses and technical request information to operate and secure the service.

Please avoid posting sensitive personal information, private financial details, or information you do not have permission to share. We do not require your home address, date of birth, or payment information to register.

How information is used

We use information to run your account, recommend relevant professionals, deliver conversations and meeting proposals, send authentication emails, respond to support requests, review feedback to improve the site, prevent abuse, and recover the service after a failure. You can choose optional emails about new connections, unread messages, and meeting updates in account settings. Delivery availability is shown there. These emails are off by default, contain no message text, and include an unsubscribe link. Report receipts and review-complete updates are separate service emails. The owner may send a general account-safety notice to a reported member after review. These notices do not include the reporter’s identity, report text, or attached evidence. Background push notifications are not enabled.

Who can see it

Signed-in members can discover profiles whose owners enable discovery. Your account email is not shown in discovery. If you add a phone number, it is shared only with mutual connections. Removing the number, disconnecting, or blocking ends access within TieSpark; people may retain information they previously saw. Turning discovery off hides you from new suggestions; existing mutual connections can still see your profile. Blocking removes access between those accounts. Photos follow the same profile-access rules. Optional résumés are downloadable by mutual connections by default. You can choose to share a résumé with any signed-in member who can see your profile, or remove it. Other members may retain files they have downloaded.

Site feedback and support requests are visible to their sender and the site owner. Conversations are available to their participants. If you attach a message to a report, the site owner can review that evidence. Authorized administration and recovery operations may access stored information when needed. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

We use OpenAI Sites and its Cloudflare infrastructure for the website, application database, photos, and résumés; Supabase for authentication and private recovery storage; and Resend for authentication, optional activity, and report-related service emails. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. Information may be processed outside your state or country. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect people and the service.

We do not sell personal information, run advertising trackers, or provide member lists to advertisers.

Video calls and calendars

You can choose an automatically generated Jitsi room link or provide your own video link. Opening a video link uses that provider’s service and privacy practices. Jitsi requires the host to sign in before starting the room. Share the link only with intended participants and use the room’s lobby controls.

Calendar buttons open Google Calendar or Outlook with the meeting information filled in for you to save. The meeting title, time, location or call link, and note are sent to the calendar provider when you open that button. You can also download an ICS file for another calendar. These saved events do not automatically synchronize later changes or cancellations.

Activity email delivery

When you opt in and delivery is available, Resend also processes your email address and the activity notice needed to send an update. We keep limited delivery records for up to 30 days to prevent duplicate sends and diagnose failures. Delivery problems or spam complaints pause optional emails. Unsubscribing affects activity emails; account confirmation, password reset, and report-related service emails are separate. We also suppress report emails to addresses with known delivery failures or spam complaints.

Cookies and browser storage

Essential cookies and browser storage keep you signed in, complete email confirmation and password recovery, and remember interface choices. We do not use advertising cookies. Clearing essential storage signs you out and may interrupt an email-link flow.

Your controls and deletion

In your account settings you can edit your profile, change discovery and notification preferences, block someone, export your account information, or delete your account. Deletion removes your live application records, photos, and résumés, associated conversations and meetings, and your sign-in identity. Other people may still have copies they saved outside TieSpark.

Restricted recovery copies are normally kept for seven days, with automatic retention cleanup. A restricted record of hashed deleted-account identifiers prevents a recovery from restoring deleted accounts and their associated information. Diagnostic records are kept for up to 30 days. Provider security and delivery logs follow the providers’ retention practices. We retain information longer only where necessary to meet a legal obligation or address a specific unresolved security issue.

For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, use Support. We may ask you to verify account ownership. Your applicable privacy rights depend on where you live.

Age and updates

TieSpark is for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us. We will update this notice when practices change and give notice of material changes through the service or your account email.
